Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 9, 2026

Pina Mapina is a map-first marketplace for local services, currently in development and operating as a coming-soon page with an email waitlist. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website today, what we may collect when accounts and social login become available, and how that information is used and protected.

Who operates Pina Mapina

Pina Mapina is an 8Umbrellas product. When we say "we", "us", or "our" in this policy, we mean the 8Umbrellas team operating Pina Mapina.

Information we collect now

  • Email address — when you join the waitlist, we store the email address you submit.
  • Basic technical data — like most websites, our infrastructure may process your IP address and browser (user-agent) information for security, abuse prevention, rate limiting, and diagnostics.
  • Privacy-preserving storage — where we retain technical data alongside your signup, we store it in hashed (one-way, salted) form rather than as raw values.

Information we may collect with Google or social login

When Pina Mapina launches accounts, you may be able to sign in with Google or other identity providers. If you choose to sign in with Google, we may receive:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your profile picture / avatar;
  • your Google account identifier;
  • authentication token data needed to sign you in.

We never receive or store your Google password. You can revoke Pina Mapina’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account settings (Security → Third-party apps with account access).

How we use information

  • to notify you about the Pina Mapina launch and related updates you signed up for;
  • to create and operate your account once accounts are available;
  • to protect the service against abuse, spam, and fraud;
  • to improve the service;
  • to respond to support requests;
  • to comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

  • service providers needed to operate the site — hosting, cloud storage, analytics, and email delivery providers (for example, our infrastructure runs on Microsoft Azure);
  • authorities or third parties when required by law or to protect the security and integrity of the service.

Cookies and analytics

The site may use essential cookies or local storage needed for operation and security. We may also use analytics and diagnostics tooling (such as Azure Application Insights or similar) to understand site performance and detect problems. We do not use these tools to build advertising profiles.

Data retention

  • Waitlist emails are retained until launch communications are complete, or until you ask us to remove yours.
  • Security and diagnostic logs are retained for a limited period where practical.
  • Account and social-login data, once available, will be retained while your account exists or as required by law.

Your choices

  • You can request removal from the waitlist at any time by contacting us.
  • You can unsubscribe from launch emails using the link in any email we send.
  • You can revoke Google sign-in access from your Google Account settings.

Security

We use reasonable technical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. That said, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Pina Mapina is not intended for children under the age threshold that applies in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International users

Your information may be processed in countries where our infrastructure and service providers operate. We choose providers that maintain appropriate safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Pina Mapina evolves — for example, when accounts, booking, or payments launch. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
